THE DESIGN
Viy – The Gaze of Ruin draws from the famous literary image of a demonic being whose eyes are hidden beneath impossibly heavy lids and whose gaze reveals what others cannot see. Gogol described Viy as a supernatural creature from Ukrainian tradition, although modern scholarship remains divided over whether the named figure itself is an authentic folk being or a literary construction assembled from older motifs. COLOUR

The dark fabric was chosen specifically for this artwork, allowing the roots, shadows, skulls and smoke to blend naturally into the shirt while the lighter facial and typographic details remain readable.
PRINT
The artwork is applied using DTG printing, allowing the fine organic textures, linework and distressed details to reproduce without the heavy feel of a large vinyl transfer.
Each garment is printed individually to order, so very small variations in placement or colour may occur.

Wash inside out at 30°C.
Wash with similar colours.
Do not bleach.
